Other Engines

We will add more as we find them, but here's one to start with.

This is a Ford Cosworth Turbo powered B Roadster with 300bhp on tap.  This was built by Chris Falla of Falla Classics in Dorset.  As featured in January 2002 issue of MG Enthusiast and again in the December 2007 issue.  the car has recently been on Ebay.

An update received from a correspondent, Julian Charlesworthy:

Falla Classics no longer exist (changed their name to South Coast MG's or similar) and they no longer have any info on putting a Cosworth lump into an MG other than if you can grab a chat with one of the two people left who did the original conversion. Unfortunately they have no parts left for the conversion.....as you can see I was tempted to go this route myself...however it is far too hard to achieve without some form of engineering backup as the turbo gets in the way of the steering column unless you put an extra couple of UJ's in the linkage which I did not fancy doing, really....pity!

Another favourite is the Fiat Twin Cam - if anyone is willing to provide pictures and text, we would be delighted to feature this.

A further option is the Ford 2.0L DOHC engine, for which I don't have any details but I am lead to believe it is also a straight forward swap in so far as not needing body modifications, but does require a Type 9 5spd gear box and the associated cost of adapting that to fit.
